Terms and Conditions - Totally Cool Driving

Lessons cancelled on the same day or missed for whatever reason by a student less than 24 hours before lesson start time, the student will be charged for the lesson.

If for any reason a student cannot keep an appointment, the student must notify us 24 hours in advance so that we may offer it to our other eagerly awaiting students. If less than 24 hours notice is given we must charge for that lesson. If the driving instructor arrives to pick you up and you are not available you must pay for that lesson when you have not cancelled.
In the event that a student does not wish to complete the services in which they paid for, the student will be charged only for the lesson(s) or service taken at the single lesson or service price.

It is your responsibility to make sure you are fit to drive and have a valid New York State photo learners permit.

Rental of the driving school car for use during the road test will be charged at the advertised price.
Your Driving Instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of the driving school car for road tests, if in their opinion the chances of passing the test are unrealistic.

In the event of the driving school car being unavailable on the day of the road test for reasons of illness to your driving instructor, or for reasons of mechanical failure, test fees incurred by you will be refunded in full or the test can be rescheduled. Except when the student does not show up on the day of the test or has cancelled the road test less than two weeks from date of confirmation. The student must pay a road test appointment fee to reschedule.
If a student has a scheduled road test and the instructor is waiting to escort you to the test and you did not cancel in advance and did not show up, you will have to pay for new road test services.

Please inform the office of any complaints to info@totallycooldriving.com that you may have so we can address the situation. In the event that you are not satisfied, you may consider discontinuing your services with Totally Cool Driving, Inc.

Gift certificates are valid only one year from the date of which the certificate is written.
- All gift certificates that have not been redeemed or started within the expiration date will not be reissued.
- If a gift certificate is lost or stolen, Totally Cool Driving, Inc will not be held responsible and the voucher will be void.
- The only exception for above (ii) is if the gift certificate is within its use by date and can be tracked, in this case we can reissue a certificate but for an administration cost of $20.00.
All gift certificates are redeemable for either the pre-licensing course or on road driving lessons.
Anyone who received a gift certificate must present the certificate before the paid services start.
- If a gift certificate is not presented a student will be charged the full price of the lesson taken.
Lesson cancellations must have 24 hours notice.
- If 24 hours notice is not given for cancellations you will be charged for the lesson or the gift certificate will become invalid if it amounts to one driving lesson.
- Or a lesson will be deducted from the gift certificate if more than one lesson has been purchased at individual lesson price.

Any services whether the pre-licensing course or on road lessons must be scheduled in advance.
If it is not possible for a lesson to be booked before a gift certificate has reached its use by date and this is the fault of Totally Cool Driving, Inc. you will have an extension added to your gift certificate.
- Extensions will only be given if you have called within the one year period and not after the one year expiration.

When an extension is in place you will be booked with the earliest availability.

Gift certificates are non-transferable between students and if a transfer has been made without Totally Cool Driving, Inc. knowing then a gift certificate will become invalid and will need to be returned.

Lessons may be video-recorded for yours and our safety, video-recorded lessons are for quality control and training purposes. Videos or photographs may be used for promotion purposes. By being a customer of Totally Cool Driving, Inc you are agreeing to this condition. You may object to this by informing our office and your instructor at the beginning of your lesson.
By being a customer of Totally Cool Driving, Inc you are agreeing to your image and or quotes and reviews to be used in any marketing that Totally Cool Driving, Inc sees fit. You will receive no monetary values for the use of these materials and they become the property of Totally Cool Driving, Inc.
